The North Bay Battalion will be playing a couple more pre-season games, on top of the previously announced CHL showcase in Kitchener.

The Troops have a home and home series scheduled with Owen Sound in mid-September, with North Bay hosting the Attack at Memorial Gardens on Saturday, September 15th at 2 pm.

Two weeks prior to that, the Battalion play Saginaw, Moncton and Kitchener at the showcase series August 31st to September 2nd.

Meantime, three Troops’ prospects have been invited to Canada’s national Under-17 development camp.

Defenseman Pacey Schlueting, forward Cameron Peters and goaltender Joe Vrbetic are among 111 players invited to the July 21-27 camp in Calgary.

After the camp, players will be evaluated through the early season before 66 are named to one of three Canadian entries at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

That tournament is taking place Nov. 3-10 in New Brunswick.
