A 26 year old city man is facing charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon after two people were stabbed on the weekend.

Police say they were called to a fight in a parking lot outside a North Bay night club early Saturday.

It’s alleged a verbal argument led to a fight, with one person taking out a knife and stabbing the other.

Police say another man intervened and was also stabbed.

Both suffered non-life threatening injuries.

North Bay Police report a 40 year old North Bay man has been charged a person allegedly walked into a First Avenue residence around 9 am Sunday and tried to take a chair.

Police say the homeowner confronted the man and stopped the theft.

Police were contacted and arrested the man who is charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling, theft under $5,000 and assault police with intent to resist arrest.
