The Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies at Nipissing University has a new interim Associate Dean.

Marketing professor Dr John Nadeau (pictured below) has been appointed to the position.

Officials say he brings a wealth of experience, ideas and energy to the associate dean’s office.

He’s responsible for leading the School of Business and the School of Criminal Justice.

It is exciting and humbling to be appointed Associate Dean,” said Dr. Nadeau in a release. “There is a strong foundation of excellence that exists at Nipissing, and I am thrilled to be able to contribute to our success. I plan to focus on maintaining stability as well as increasing efforts externally in fundraising and enhancing our relationships with community partners. It will also be important to look at the current programs with an eye to revision to ensure we are meeting the needs of our students, the business communities, and public organizations in our region, our province, and beyond. It is essential that we continue to graduate excellent professionals who embrace the spirit of innovation and our academic programs must serve that end.”

The appointment to Associate Dean (interim) is for a one-year term which began on July 1.
