An update on well water testing at 91 homes near 22 Wing.

The Department of National Defense says the PFAS (perfluoroalkylated substances) testing began in April of last year and they found two wells containing levels above the recommended drinking water screening values.

DND says affected residents were informed and provided with bottled water until they were connected to the city’s water supply.

The two isolated wells are no longer in use.

All other tests were below the recommended values of PFAS .

DND says they’ll continue to test and monitor PFAS levels.
