A fire this morning on Algonquin Avenue is being treated as suspicious.

North Bay Police and the Ontario Fire Marshall have been called in to investigate.

Deputy Chief Greg Saunders says there were actually 2 fires.

The initial fire and then a 2nd one was caused by the intensity of the first fire.

That he says caused a window to be blown out of the building next door.

Saunders says there was significant damage to that building.

There were no injuries.

He says the building where the fire started was vacant at the time.
