Northeastern Ontario forest fires are causing the evacuation of the community of Killarney.

An evacuation order was put on the municipality on Tuesday.

Killarney is located south west of Sudbury.

The evacuation is due to the spread of Parry Sound 33.

As well, that fire less than five kilometers away from Highway 69 putting residents near French River on evacuation alert.

Concerns are heightened in the community of Alban where residents are on evacuation alert.

Five new fires began Tuesday night with 41 currently burning and 13 not yet under control.
