The experiences two first time landlords have been facing haven’t sat well with the Near North Landlords Association.

President John Wilson says the landlord tenant act is broken.

He says in this case the two landlords identified as Shelly and Greg have been waiting for an eviction order ruling since June.

He says attempts to evict the tenant from a Lake Heights Road residence were made because of late rent payments of several weeks and the general mess and smell of the residence.

The landlords say they haven’t been paid since March.

The landlords told BayToday ” We have mattresses we need to get rid of. There’s drug paraphernalia, garbage, and dead rodents. We have infestations of flies, ants, and fleas. There’s cat urine, and cat feces, and clothes everywhere.”
