North Bay Police have charged a 23 year old North Bay man and a 32 year old Brampton male with several offenses after police seized several items following a street crime unit investigation.

The list of items include 139.5 grams of cocaine, $5,400 in Canadian currency, plastic baggies, packaging items and a prohibited knife.

The charges include possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

North Bay Police say a female was taken to hospital by ambulance on Saturday after being involved in a single motor vehicle collision on Tower Drive around 7 pm.

Anyone with information on the collision is asked to call city police.

Police say she has since been released from hospital.

5 North Bay residents are facing fraud and theft charges in relation to a credit card and cheque book theft.

The charges include fraud under $5,000, theft under $5,000 and uttering a forged document.

Police say their investigation revealed 5 people completed financial transactions that resulted in 1 person losing $8,000.

Police compiled video surveillance obtained from many local businesses.

Police advise people to go through their credit card statements and report anything suspicious to their credit card issuer.
