This year’s Powassan Fall Fair is coming in less than 3 weeks away.

Lindsey Gradeen is with the Powassan Agricultural Society.

She says the event will be held on the first two days of September at the fairgrounds on Fairview Lane and begins at 10 am on the Saturday with the parade starting at Easthome and that’ll be followed by the opening ceremonies at 11.

She says several events are planned.

“We have all of the fall entries on display in the barn and that includes baked goods, canned goods, children’s crafts and other interesting items,” she says.

Other events on Saturday include Chisholm’s Triple B Ranch demo, the Speaking of Wildlife show, a heavy horse pull and a poultry and rabbit show.

“I’d say there’s a lot of great activities for kids. There’s going to be bouncy castles, face painting and Ontario wildlife. There’s lots of fun,” she says.

Sunday will be a demolition derby as well as music by Gibbings Family Band and a reptile camp.
She says this is a great way to look into Powassan’s past and check out the history and reconnect with friends and neighbors.

Wrist bands are $7 per day or 10 for the weekend. Children under 12 get in free.
