West Nipissing Police say a 24 year old Sturgeon Falls woman is facing drug possession for the purpose of trafficking charges.

This after a vehicle stop earlier this month.

Over $15,000 in cocaine, Hydromorphone and Methamphetamine pills was seized, along with Canadian money.

The woman was also charged with resisting arrest.

West Nipissing Police are once again warning that opioid use can be fatal.

This after a sudden death last Saturday.

Police say while the man’s death is not considered suspicious, they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the events leading up to the death.

Police say they have reason to believe drugs were a contributing factor.
