Successful search and rescue locally last week

BAYSAR is reporting they assisted OPP with the search of a missing 17 year old canoeist last Thursday, with the youth located in good health.

Officials say two BAYSAR air crew took part in an airborne search over Trout Lake.

They say evidence was spotted in an uninhabited area of the lake’s north shore.

The information and location was given to the OPP marine unit with the youth found shortly after.
