That from officials with Nipissing Orthopaedic Laboratory about growing concerns that unqualified and undertrained providers are potentially endangering patient safety.

They’ve joined a national campaign launched by Orthotics Prosthetics Canada.

Officials say they’re increasingly seeing custom-made ankle foot orthoses delivered by unqualified and undertrained providers, that have been fabricated or fitted with glaring mistakes, placing the health and well-being of patients at risk.
