The Oshawa Generals scored a 7-2 win over the North Bay Battalion Thursday night at Memorial Gardens.

Battalion Coach Stan Butler says they didn’t convert on some early chances while the Generals did.

“Two games in a row, the other team scores on the first couple of shots, you get behind the eight ball and then it kind of spiraled from there, we gave up a shorthanded goal,” he says.

Butler was pleased with the penalty kill unit, with Generals 0-6 on the powerplay.

“That was a positive sign, as good as our PK was our powerplay wasn’t,” he says.

The Battalion went 0-5 with the man advantage.

Daniel Walker and Justin Brazeau (pictured) scored for the Troops in the loss.

North Bay is on the road Saturday to play Niagara then in Oshawa on Sunday for another match-up with the Generals.
