The North Bay detachment of the OPP has released the results of Operation Impact over the Thanksgiving long weekend.

During the 4 days, there were 53 speeding charges, 1 count for distracted driving, 6 moving violations and 1 warning issued.

Operation Impact is a national program designed to promote awareness of and compliance on the four behaviors that place drivers, passengers and other road users most at risk.

They include impaired, distracted and aggressive driving and lack of seat belt usage.
