A former MP and broadcaster is back on the air tomorrow (Friday) on Country 600 CKAT.

‘Breakfast with Bob Wood’ goes from 7-9 am at Syl’s Neighbourhood Kitchen on McKeown Avenue.

On top of raising awareness, the event is a fundraiser for The Alzheimer Society Of North Bay & District.

Wood has revealed he has early Alzheimer’s and is speaking openly about the illness.

“If I can help out and bring it forward by helping people by talking about it that’s good,” Wood says.

The radio roundtable will also include a number of special guests.

Wood says he’s looking forward to the event.

“It goes to a great cause. We hope people can donate whatever they can. We should have a fun time and I hope people can drop by, have a coffee and have a good time,” he says.
