The top line of the North Bay Battalion combined for 15 total points in an 8-3 victory over the Kingston Frontenac’s on Sunday afternoon.

Justin Brazeau (pictured) scored a hat trick and collected four assists while Matthew Struthers had two goals and four assists and Egor Postnov scored a goal and and an assist.

Battalion Acting Head Coach Adam Dennis talked about the production from his top line.

“It’s nice to have and it’s something other teams are going to key in on. Once we get that secondary scoring going, I think that we are going to be a team that can compete every night,” he says.

Christian Purboo picked up his second win of the season in net, making 28 saves during the game.

Brazeau scored a natural hat trick in the first 11 minutes of the game as the teams combined for eight goals in the opening 20 minutes.

Dennis says the game turned for the Battalion after a key 5 on 3 penalty kill.

“I thought Christian Purboo really settled it down back there and right from there, after that kill, our bench really got rolling after that.”
