Ontario’s top public health officer is urging you to get the free flu shot soon – saying you’re not just protecting yourself, but everyone around you.

The flu vaccine is now available locally and across the province – and Dr. David Williams says if you’ve never had real influenza, you might be surprised by its punch.

The vaccine protects against four strains of influenza. It’s available free from your family doctor or nurse practitioner, the public health unit and participating pharmacies.
