Another medal was added to Canada’s Rio 2016 collection on Day 4 with Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion taking home bronze in the women’s 10-metre synchronized diving.

The Canadian women’s soccer team also came up with a clutch performance, beating the No. 2 FIFA-ranked Germans 2-1.

Here are some notable events and Canadians to keep an eye on Day 5 Wednesday.

Women’s Basketball
4:45 p.m. ET

Canada has the chance to improve to 3-0 when they face an underdog Senegal squad. The women opened the tournament beating China and followed that up with a dramatic, come-from-behind win over Serbia. Kia Nurse and her teammates erased an 18-point second-half deficit to win 71-67.

Senegal has been outscored 222-120 through two games, so it would be a disappointing effort if Canada can’t get the win.

Swimming
Heats, 100m freestyle (women): 12:02 p.m. ET
Heats, 200m breaststroke (women): 12:47 p.m. ET
Heats, 4x200m freestyle relay (women): 1:31 p.m. ET
Final, 100m freestyle (men): 10:03 p.m. ET

In the first swimming event of the day, teenager Penny Oleksiak will look to build off her silver medal-winning performance in the women’s 100-metre butterfly as she looks to make her mark in the 100-metre freestyle heats. Chantal Van Landeghem is also competing in the 100-metre freestyle. Both her and Oleksiak won bronze in the women’s 4×100-metre freestyle relay over the weekend. They will be swimming beside one another in Heat 5.

Later in the day, Martha McCabe and Kierra Smith compete for a spot in the women’s 200-metre breaststroke semifinals, plus Oleksiak and fellow 16-year-old Taylor Ruck will lead the women’s 4×200-metre freestyle relay team through heats then potentially the semifinals.

Also, Santo Condorelli has a chance for a medal in the men’s 100-metre freestyle final. The 21-year-old posted a semifinal time of 47.93 to finish second in his group and third overall. He should be considered a legitimate gold medal threat in this event.

Tennis
TBA

Vasek Pospisil and Daniel Nestor made quick work of Italy’s Fabio Fognini and Andreas Seppi Tuesday but they’ve got a more difficult challenge ahead of them in Wednesday’s semifinal. They face Spain’s Rafael Nadal and Marc Lopez in the semis with a trip to the gold medal match on the line.

Cycling
9:00 a.m. ET

Hugo Houle (men’s), Tara Whitten and Karol-Ann Canuel (women’s) ride in their respective road time trial events. Whitten is a three time cycling world champion although not in this event.

Fencing
11:45 a.m. ET

En garde! Joseph Polossifakis hopes to make his country proud in the men’s individual sabre competition. He is up against 31-year-old Belarusian Aliaksandr Buikevich in the round of 32.
