The Kiwanis Club of Nipissing continues to support One Kids Place in a major way.

$10,000 in funds raised from the sale of a book entitled Northern Shores are supporting One Kids Place.

President Chris Mayne says Northern Shores is a scenic 4-season coffee table book that Kiwanis Club of Nipissing initiated as a fundraiser for OKP in 2011.

“All the photography and all the stories inside the book have been donated by local photographers and authors. All the pictures were taken in the area that One Kids Place serves,” Mayne says.

Mayne says since 2011 they’ve supported One Kids Place with $50,000 in funds.

Mayne says One Kids Place is making a big difference for parents and children who use the facility.

Executive Director of One Kids Place Denis Filiatrault says the money will be put to good use.

“This is going to help us provide enhanced programs for families that deserve it,” he says.

Books are available at The Green Store and Mayne Travel.
