West Nipissing Police have removed about $26,000 worth of drugs from the street after an arrest in Sturgeon Falls early this morning (Tuesday).

While officers were on patrol on John Street a man was spotted walking out from behind a building.

Police say a backpack was found hidden a short distance away.

Officers seized:
– over 16 grams of suspected Purple H (heroine/fentanyl mixture)
– 13 grams of cocaine
– 17 grams of Crystal Meth
– over 1700 methamphetamine pills (speed)
– 158 grams of marijuana
– over $2,500 cash.

A 42 year old Sturgeon Falls man faces five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation.
