North Bay OPP report four impaired-related charges during the Festive RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) Campaign locally, along with one warn range suspension.

They conducted 103 RIDE checks during the campaign, which ran from November 23rd and January 2nd.

Across Ontario, there were 539 impaired charges and 384 warn range suspensions.

Police say there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving.

They say never allow yourself to drink and drive, never allow someone you suspect is impaired by alcohol or drugs to drive.

OPP encourage people to call 9-1-1 to report an impaired driver to police or take some other action that removes impaired drivers off the roads.
