Canada Summer Jobs Program info session for employers goes today

Local employers are being invited to an information session on the Canada Summer Jobs program in the city today (Monday).

The program provides funding for summer jobs for youth.

MP Anthony Rota is hosting the session from 10 am to noon, upstairs at the North Bay Museum.

All youth ages 15 to 30, and not just students are eligible this year.

Also new this year is the fact that all positions will be posted on jobbank.gc.ca.

Employer applications are being accepted until January 25th.

Another event, for Temiskaming Shores, goes Tuesday at the New Liskeard Community Hall.
