An advisory from the fire department in dealing with winter

The North Bay Fire Department asks that you clear any snow from in and around fire hydrants on or near your property.

This they say will ensure fast response when fighting fires.

As well, they recommend you clear snow and ice from gas meter and gas appliance exhaust vents.

Officials point out a blocked vent could result in carbon monoxide problems.
