The North Bay Midget BB Ice Boltz won gold at a Cambridge hockey tournament on the weekend.

They won the final 2-1 over a Sudbury team.

The Ice Boltz went 6-0 in the tournament and remain undefeated in both league and tournament play this season.

 

The Powassan Voodoos won two out of their three games this weekend.

After a 5-2 loss to the Soo Thunderbirds on Friday, the Voodoos defeated the Soo Eagles 3-2 in overtime on Saturday then scored a 3-2 win in Blind River yesterday (Sunday).

 

In OUA women’s hockey, the Nipissing Lakers lost 2-1 in overtime in Toronto yesterday.

This after a 3-1 loss to Ryerson on Saturday.

The Nipissing men lost 6-1 to UOIT on Friday and 6-4 to Carleton on Saturday.

Both Lakers basketball teams lost their weekend games to Toronto and Ryerson while both Nipissing volleyball teams lost to York and Ryerson.

 

In OCAA volleyball, both Canadore teams defeated George Brown on Saturday.

The women won 3-0 while the men won 3-1.

In men’s basketball, Canadore lost 73-70 to Fleming on Sunday after a loss to George Brown on Saturday.
