North Bay Regional Health Centre is benefitting from $518,000 in provincial funding.

The money comes from the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund and can be used for upgrades, repairs and efforts to maintain facilities.

Overall, the province says it’s providing funds for 128 hospitals province wide.

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says the funding will help ensure hospitals across Ontario are able to make the needed upgrades, improvements and maintenance so patients and families have access to reliable and quality care.

He says it’s important to provide the necessary investments in our hospitals now, to ensure our providers have the facilities they need to continue to provide excellent quality care to patients.
