Over 130 ski racers from across the northeast will be in North Bay this weekend for the inaugural Laurentian Ski Classic.

Athletes from ages five to 11 years old will be competing in both slalom and giant slalom races.

The North Bay Antoine Ski Racing Club and Laurentian Ski Hill are hosting the event.

Races start at 10 am tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.

 

Cheapskates Snow Wars is back for a 25th year this weekend, and next.

Ontario’s longest running snowboard/ski competition features a rail jam this Sunday, with snowboard, ski and mixed categories.

Registration can be done at Cheapskates or on the day of the event at Laurentian Ski Hill.

A ski/snowboard cross event goes next Sunday, February 17th.

Prizes valued over $4,000 are up for grabs.
