A special weather statement continues for the North Bay area this morning.

Environment Canada says the snow will taper off later today, but not before bringing another 5-10 cm.

Officials say the expected total accumulation, since the snow started falling yesterday, to be 10 to 20 cm.

Blowing snow is also possible today with winds gusting to 60 km/h.

It’s all thanks to an Alberta Clipper tracking across the Northeast.

School transportation officials advise school buses in Mattawa, Redbridge, West Nipissing and West Parry Sound are cancelled today (Friday, Feb 15th) because of road conditions.

Schools remain open.
