The best of seven playoff series between North Bay and Niagara is now a best of five with the Battalion having home ice advantage for the next two games.

The Troops tied the series 1-1 with a win in Game two.

Assistant coach Adam Dennis says each team has team has to play a particular way to be successful.

“We’re a more big physical team and they’re a smaller fast team. We want them to play our game and they want us to play their game. Ultimately it’s a battle as to who gets on top of that,” he says.

Five different Troops scored in game two, including Daniel Walker (pictured).

Dennis says he’s an emotional player who is playing well and is staying out of trouble and keeping his emotions in check.

“It’s an emotional game and it’s hard to manage those emotions sometimes. He’s done a real good job of doing that and is making his game effective and our team effective. He brings an element. Anytime he’s out there he’s creating time and space for his linemates,” he says.

Broadcast time tonight on Country 600 CKAT is 6:55.
