Five different players scored for Niagara as the IceDogs shutout the Battalion 6-0 last night (Tuesday) at Memorial Gardens.

The Troops are now down 2-1 in the best of seven first playoff series.

Battalion Assistant Coach Adam Dennis says being held to 20 shots is not going to add up to many wins.

“We didn’t exactly convert tonight, I thought we needed to be a bit better with our execution and we need to get pucks to their net,” he says.

The IceDogs scored twice in the first period, added another goal in the second and three more in the third.

Dennis says it comes down to having better starts in these games.

It’s the second time in the series the Battalion have been shutout.

Christian Propp made 45 saves in the loss.

They will look to even up the series when they host game four on Thursday.
