The Harlem Globetrotters fan-powered World Tour hits the hardwood at Memorial Gardens tonight (Monday) at 7 pm.

Rookie Lili ‘Champ’ Thompson says it’s one big party, with the most fan interaction in all of sports, with ‘the magicians of basketball’.

‘We play basketball all around the world, we’ve been to 123 countries and we showcase family-fun, including high-flying dunks, trick shots and basketball handling,” she says.

Thompson says the Globetrotters are playing the Washington Generals tonight and the fans will be, too.

“North Bay fans are going to be able to get directly involved in the game and help us beat the Generals. I think that’s a pretty fun twist, I know when I’m watching my favourite basketball team if I could help them along to a win, I think that would be pretty fun,” she says.

Tickets are available at harlemglobetrotters.com, battalionhockey.com and the box office.
