North Bay Mayor Al McDonald spent the most in the 2018 municipal election race in North Bay.

Documents filed with the city says McDonald spent over $34,000 which was well ahead of fellow mayoral candidate Gary Gardiner who spent over $27,000 and Sheldon Forgette who spent around $24,000.

On the council side, Councillor Dave Mendicino led the way at over $17,000.

That was followed by Chris Mayne at $15,000 and Peter Gregory who didn’t get a seat at close to $10,000.
