Premier Doug Ford and the his Finance Minister Vic Fedeli are in New York City today to wrap up a two day visit.

Fedeli says the main purpose of the trip is to borrow money from various bond agency’s to execute the government programs.

He says similar meetings were held in the fall following the economic statement.

“All of the meetings that we held in November and especially the ones yesterday were extremely positive. They like the fact that we’re going to make sure people are going to have a place to work in Ontario,” he says.

Fedeli says he will be making a speech on Tuesday to the Canadian Association of New York outlining the governments approach.

“We’ll talk about the investment and the returning $26 billion in vital programs to the people of Ontario like the $90 million free dental for low income seniors and the child care program which is the most flexible in the history of the province,” he says.

Fedeli says the premier will be holding other meetings with top american political and business officials.
