An argument in a Sturgeon Falls residence has led to charges. West Nipissing Police have charged one of the males involved with assault with a weapon.

Police say a knife was pulled in the argument and one of the men was cut.

Police say the victim was transported to hospital for serious injuries to his arm.

A 42 year old male has been charged with possessing a controlled substance and resisting arrest.

Police say they called to a Sturgeon Falls Restaurant as a man was openly using drugs.

The man was under an order not to consume drugs and was arrested for breaching his curfew as well.

Police were able to find oxycodone and methamphetamine.

West Nipissing Police are looking for a male who assaulted another man.

Police say the victim was attacked from behind as he was struck with a metal pipe.

The victim was taken to hospital for head injuries.Police say the assailant left the area of the offense on foot.

A 45 year old Stratford woman has been charged with driving while impaired.

The OPP’s Save Unit which stands for Snowmobile, All Terrain Vehicle and Vessel Enforcement observed a vehicle travelling at well below the posted speed limit of 90 km/h on Wednesday in the Bonfield area.

The motorist received a 90 day drivers licence suspension and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
