Over the next two years, the seven public health units in the north, including North Bay-Parry Sound will be working together on climate change and health vulnerability and adaptation reports.

Officials say climate change is a threat to human health around the world, with new health issues emerging, while existing issues may get worse.

The reports will help public health units understand what changes to expect and begin to prepare.

Officials say climate change impacts in northern Ontario are expected to be more severe than in southern Ontario.
