Two Eldee residents, a 39 year old man and 36 year old woman are facing several drug-related charges after a city police street crimes unit investigation.

An estimated $30,000 worth of Oxycodone and Percocet pills were seized after a pick-up truck was stopped in North Bay last week.

A search of a residence in Eldee was also conducted, with a quantity of drugs and two non-restricted firearms also being seized.

 

City police have charged a 21 year old North Bay man with assault causing bodily harm after an incident at a social gathering in the 1400 block of Cedargrove Drive early Saturday morning.

Police say a woman was pushed, thrown to the ground and punched.

She has since been treated and released from medical care.

 

A couple of residential break-ins on the weekend are being investigated by North Bay Police.

Last night around 11 pm a Lisgar Street resident returned home and saw someone near the back of his property and yelled at them.

Once inside, he found numerous items missing, which police found hidden behind the residence after searching the area.

Meantime, several hundred dollars worth of frozen food and a tablet were taken from a Ferguson Street residence sometime Friday or Saturday.
