The multi-million dollar Cassellholme redevelopment project is moving forward.

MPP Vic Fedeli announced the $55.5 million investment this morning (Tuesday).

It includes the addition of 24 long term care beds for the redeveloped existing 240 bed facility.

He also announced $12 million a year in operating costs.

Fedeli says this will end ‘hallway healthcare’ by adding a 16-bed indigenous unit and two 12-bed units dedicated for specialized dementia care.

Cassellholme CEO Jamie Lowry says there were a lot of obstacles over the years.
