The North Bay Police Services Board has a new member.

Pat Cliche has been appointed a provincial representative on the board.

This is her 2nd term.

Previously, she was on the board when George Berrigan was chief.

She says she has a nursing background and she hopes to put that knowledge to good use on the PTSD issue.

“I’m hoping we can help with PTSD, an issue that police officers deal with. I’m hoping I can bring some insight to that,” she says.

She’s also heavily involved with the North Bay and area Drug Strategy Committee and Chief Scott Tod has been quite vocal recently on having a national task force to tackle the country’s ongoing opioid crisis.
