Hot and sticky.

That’s what the forecast is calling for today with Environment Canada’s heat warning for the North Bay area.

The agency says daytime temperatures near 30 and afternoon humidex values in the upper thirties expected today and tomorrow.

A weak cold front tomorrow evening will bring a cooler and less humid air mass to the region.

For those looking to beat the heat, the city says you can cool off at the the North Bay Public Library, Memorial Gardens and Pete Palangio Arena.

They also say the North Bay Mall and Northgate Shopping Centre are also open during business hours.
