NBRHC exterior shot Hospital(File photo) North Bay City Council is asking fellow municipalities to help them in sending a letter to the province, regarding the recent cuts at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

Councillor Mike Anthony brought forward a motion to council, to send a letter to the province to possibly change some of their benchmarks in terms of hospital funding.

He adds they included a request for one time transition funding.

The request was written in by Hospital CEO Paul Heinrich.

Anthony says Council doesn’t have any say over what the hospital does, but they can make their voices heard.

He says they had to make a point as a municipality that the time has come for the province to rethink their expectations of the hospital.
