Goaltender Joe Vrbetic put on quite the show in North Bay’s first game at the OHL pre-season showcase in Kitchener on Friday.

He made 55 saves in a 6-5 loss to the home town Rangers.

Scoring for North Bay were Brandon Coe, Brad Chenier, Harrison Caines, Matt Hardwick and Alex Christopoulos.

Still to come this weekend for the Battalion are games Saturday vs Peterborough and Sunday against Saginaw.

The Powassan Voodoos were 7-3 winners over Rayside-Balfour in pre season play on Friday.
