The cloud of uncertainty hanging over two public high schools in North Bay is expected to be lifted tonight (Tuesday).

The Near North District School Board will be voting on high school consolidation.

They’re re-voting on the previous board’s decision to close Widdifield.

A committee meeting earlier this month heard a number of presentations about keeping either Widdifield or Chippewa open.

After that meeting officials said the current board has reviewed the issue for nine months and it’s now decision time.
