The North Bay Battalion players and coaches are going to try and put the memory of their last game behind them tonight as they host Peterborough.

The Battalion lost 11-3 to Sudbury last Friday and were outscored 7-0 in the 2nd period alone.

Head coach Stan Butler says they can’t turn pucks over in their own zone.

We lost a lot of one on one battles. And when you’re turning pucks over and losing one on one battles after that success isn’t going to happen,” he says.

As for tonight’s opponent, Butler says the Petes are a really good team.

“They’ve got a potential World Junior Championship goaltender for Canada in net in Hunter Jones. We have to play a consistent game, we can’t be outworked and we can’t turn pucks over,” he says.

Butler says they have a young team with two goalies who have played five OHL games between them and that means everyone has to be patient.

Broadcast time tonight is 6:50 pm on Country 600 CKAT.
