The North Bay Battalion lost 11-2 in the Soo yesterday.

Harrison Caines (pictured) and Matthew Struthers both scored for North Bay in the loss.

The Battalion also lost 9-1 in Saginaw on Friday and 6-3 in Flint on Saturday.

With the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling taking over Memorial Gardens this week, the Troops are back on the road Friday in Guelph.

In the NOJHL, the Powassan Voodoos beat Timmins 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday night.

The 14-1 Voodoos are tops in the NOJHL with 28 points.

 

In OUA men’s hockey, the Nipissing Lakers won 4-3 in a shootout over Laurentian Friday in Sudbury to improve to 4-0-1 on the season.

Both Nipissing soccer teams won their games over RMC on Saturday. The women lost 3-2 to Queen’s yesterday while the men lost 5-0 to Ryerson.

In lacrosse, Nipissing lost 11-7 to McGill on Saturday.

 

The men’s OCAA basketball season is underway.

Canadore lost 95-70 to Sheridan on Saturday and dropped a 66-65 decision to Sault College yesterday.

 

The NDA senior football final is all set for Friday.

St Joseph-Scollard Hall will take on the West Ferris Trojans for the title.

The Bears advanced with a 35-10 win over Algonquin on Friday while the Trojans defeated Widdifield 18-13.
