Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for North Bay, Powassan, Mattawa and West Nipissing.

It says expect snowfall of between 15 to 25 cm..

Rain or mixed precipitation will arrive by Thursday morning then change over to snow by the evening..

It says snow may become heavy at times Thursday night, and may also become mixed with ice pellets in the North Bay area.

Snow is expected to taper off on Friday.

The warning says accumulation will vary but will be higher near the Quebec border and hazardous winter driving conditions are expected by Thursday night.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
