The chance to take care of all your holiday baking in one day is coming up on Saturday.

The fifth Annual Cookie Walk in support of the North Bay Food Bank goes from 9 am to 12 noon tomorrow at Burrows Country Store and Garden Centre on Third Avenue West.

Cookies and squares are $8 per dozen, while fancy cookies are priced individually.

The North Bay Ukulele Club will be on hand performing live music too.

The Paralympic journey of North Bay’s Dave Innes is the focus of a fundraiser being hosted by Z-One Fitness tomorrow.

The 90-minute Zumba® class is taking place at École secondaire publique Odyssée from 10 am to 11:30 am.

Officials say 100% of the proceeds are going towards expenses for travel, training, diet, specialized equipment maintenance and more.

Register at the door for $20, starting at 9 am.

 

Over 200 kids are converging on North Bay for the FIRST Lego League qualifying tournament at West Ferris Intermediate and Secondary School tomorrow.

Sixteen teams are competing for two spots at the East Provincial FLL Championship in January.

This is the fifth annual qualifying tournament locally with students building a robot out of Lego that will run ‘missions’ on a competition table.

The public is welcome to attend the free, day-long competition.

 

Nipissing Serenity Hospice is holding their fourth annual ‘Believe in the Magic of Christmas Musical Matinée’ this weekend.

The festive event goes at 2 pm Sunday afternoon at St Joseph-Scollard Hall, and includes local musicians and performers.

All proceeds are supporting the Hospice, which is on track to open it’s doors in December.
