The success stories of eight immigrants who chose North Bay as their home are being included in a new marketing strategy by Invest North Bay.

The strategy will target immigrant investors and those looking to escape the gridlock and congestion of the GTA.

“This is an innovative and leading edge approach that’s not been undertaken before,” said INBAY President George Burton. “Our overall objective is to recruit individuals and businesses seeking investment opportunities.”

Unscripted video interviews will be used to show how the community is welcoming and full of opportunities for investors.

In 2002 I moved to North Bay and North Bay has been a city of opportunity for me”, said Dr. Paul Sidhu. “You will have more time for yourself, you will do better here then you will do in a big city. I am proud to be a part of this initiative.”

The strategy will be implemented over the next two years and includes branding and a dedicated website — inbay.ca

More videos will be added as the strategy is rolled out and there will be an online list of available commercial opportunities.

‘Opportunity Ambassadors’ will deal directly with potential investors and new residents.

“This is another example of how we are working to grow North Bay and attract new investment,” said Mayor Al McDonald. “We know we have to grow our city. The alternative to growth is decline and we cannot afford that.”
