A rarity for the OPP.

They’ve charged the same female motorist with driving while impaired in the same location twice within a week of each other.

Police say the first incident happened on December 6th after police noticed a vehicle at the beer store parking lot in Sturgeon Falls and the driver was asleep.

The 54 year old was also charged with failing to surrender her licence and her insurance card.

The following Thursday she was charged with impaired driving by alcohol and drugs.

A 69 year old Field man has been charged with impaired driving.

Police say the charge was laid following a motor vehicle collision in River Valley on Monday.

Police say a vehicle left the roadway and hit a snowbank.

This charge increases the number of impaired drivers in the Nipissing West Detachment area to 61 this year.
