An 18 year old Kemptville, Ontario motorist has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

Police say the charges relate to a two vehicle collision on Highway 17 in East Ferris Township last October.

Police say a vehicle going westbound with two occupants collided with a vehicle going eastbound which had four occupants.

A 74 year old Timmins man in the eastbound vehicle died at the scene and three people were seriously injured.

Nipissing West OPP say they have charged four motorists with driving while impaired this month.

Police say vehicles were stopped in Sturgeon Falls, Verner and Markstay-Warren where a 41 year old North Bay woman was charged.

Also charged was a 26 year old Sturgeon Falls man, a 32 year old Quebec male and 50 year old man from Verner.

All four were issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and the vehicles were impounded for seven days.
