Nipissing West OPP have charged a 29 year old driver from Sturgeon Falls with impaired and drug possession after a collision last Thursday on Gingras Avenue.

This after police say officers suspected the person was under the influence of drugs and was taken to North Bay Police Services headquarters for further testing.

Nipissing West OPP have now charged five drivers with impaired so far this year.

Nipissing West OPP report a traffic stop involving a suspended driver in Sturgeon Falls has led to a variety of drugs being seized and two people facing charges.

Suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, and purple heroin were seized.

Two people, ages 43 and 29, from Sturgeon Falls face several drug trafficking charges, with the 43 year old also charged with driving while under suspension.
