Tuition fees to be frozen except for international students at Canadore next school year

International students at Canadore College in the 2020-2021 school year will see higher tuition fees.

President George Burton says tuition fees are frozen for Ontario students and there will be a 3 % increase for international students.

He says there will also be a 3 % increase in ancillary fees.

“To give you a dollar amount, our ancillary fees are going up by $37.50 for domestic students and $130 for international students,” he says.

Burton says they wanted the increase to be a moderate one for international students due to current market conditions.

He says the increase for international students is Canadore’s decision alone and not a provincial one.
